| The Home Remodeling Fair is a free event sponsored by the cities of Minnetonka, Golden Valley, Hopkins and St. Louis Park, as well as the Minnetonka, Hopkins and St. Louis Park Community Education. The 2008 Fair was held on Sunday, February 24, 2008. To view pictures from the 2008 Fair, check out our Photo Album. The 2009 Fair is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2009, and will be held at the Eisenhower Community Center in Hopkins (Map and Driving Directions). The goal of the Home Remodeling Fair is to provide residents with ideas, information and resources to promote improvements to the house stock in each community. The Home Remodeling Fair provides a wide variety of exhibitors with products and services related to home remodeling. Exhibitors most often include remodeling contractors, architects, landscapers, financial lenders, as well as city inspectors and other city departments. Seminar and Demonstrations – A tremendous line-up of seminars and mini-demonstrations will be presented throughout the day for the do-it-yourselfer. Idea Center – The Idea Center is packed full of a wide variety of experts to answer all your home and garden questions. At the "Ask a Pro" booth in the Idea Center, architects, landscape architects, and interior designers provide free, no-obligation advice, and people are encouraged to bring photos, sketches and questions. Visitors can sign up for numerous door prizes, and The Wetlands Café at Eisenhower will be open throughout the day for snacks, lunch and beverages.
